The white house is a beautifully presented house equipped with all you require for a "home from home” experience comprising 4 bedrooms, sleeping 8+, with 3 double bedrooms and a master with en-suite shower-room, a bunk-bed room, family bathroom, separate downstairs WC for your convenience, a well-equipped kitchen and utility room.This home offers some of the best views in Croyde and surrounding countryside, particularly from the beautifully manicured garden, which extends backward from the house over multiple levels. THE white house offers an ideal home for larger families, two families or groups of friends with parking for 2 cars on the driveway.

living areas

As you enter this large home, you are welcomed by the cavernous lounge to the left. The lounge is L-shaped, breaking it into 2 separate seating areas, walls decorated in fresh white throughout, and hard wearing beige textured carpets. This is a double-aspect lounge with one window overlooking the front garden and the other window overlooking the side of the property. Within this lounge area there is ample plush seating with 3 x sofas.

Area 1: There are 2 sofas with coordinating cushions seating 3 on each, overlooking the wood burner in its attractive brick built fireplace surround. his room has a cosy and warm ambiance. There is also a grey / pine casual lounge chair and footstool. Between both the sofas is a pine table currently housing the remote controls.There are also some unusual ornamental wood effect artifacts and a selection of magazines to read. Behind one of the sofas is the large crested bay window with neutral cream linen curtains. For your entertainment, housed within the corner brick built unit with slate surfaces, the broadband (WiFi), TV, wall mounted flat screen HD TV or HD Sky box, and DVD/CD/MP3 Player can all be found. All of the latter can be enjoyed while nestling on the sofa with a glass of wine, with the warmth and comfort of the crackling wood burner.

Area 2: Contains a double futon sofa. Box shelving can be found,opposite the sofa, with a pine mirror over. The addition of a large, flat-screen TV is great for those wishing to bring along their games consoles for rainy day entertainment, whilst others watch in the main lounge area.On top of the shelving is a compact DVD/CD/MP3 player for your enjoyment together with a welcome folder containing useful information. The lounge flows effortlessly to the spacious double aspect dining room with solid oak wood flooring, central ceiling light, white painted walls with french doors giving you access to the patio area at the rear of the property. There is a large oblong oak table with seating for 8 people.There is also a solid oak chest with 2-drawers and 2-cupboards housing the table mats, ‘where to go’ leaflets and some lovely off-white John Lewis Crockery (plates & bowls).


kitchen / utility room

Kitchen: The kitchen is modern and airy and has been designed for easy access and movement, complete with breakfast bar-counter with 2 pine bar stools. The kitchen is fitted with grey kitchen units, darker grey worktops and black mottled splash-back tiles. A well-equipped kitchen with all the features one would expect, including a 4-ring electric hob, extractor fan, 4-slice toaster, microwave, kettle, breadboards, stainless steel cooking utensils, built in double-oven and grill, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, cafetiere and a stainless steel bin. There is a plentiful supply of crockery, pots and pans, glassware, white mugs and a useful supply of children's beakers, plates, bowls and spoons. Your cooking experience will also be complemented by the spectacular views over the garden. Next to the Kitchen,off the hallway, is a useful storage cupboard housing iron / ironing board, broom, hoover, dustpan and brush and some useful coat hooks.

Utility Room: There is a separate utility room off the patio area complete with an additional stainless steel sink and drainer, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and clothes airer. There are also some useful extras including mop and bucket, broom, step stool, garden chairs, cushions for the garden chairs, linen basket.


bedrooms

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms:

All the bedrooms are decorated throughout the same with white walls, light brown carpets with white linen curtains.

Bedroom 1: (Master Bedroom with en-suite shower-room). At the end of the upper hallway is the Master Bedroom with en-suite shower room containing a king-size pine bed, 2 x 2-drawer bedside cabinets with bedside lights, a 6-drawer pine chest of drawers (4-large, 2-small), a large natural pine wardrobe with hanging space and 5-shelves and a long wall-mounted mirror. This is a single aspect room with a large window overlooking the stunning pretty tiered back garden.

Bedroom 2: (Bunk Beds). Within this bedroom is a set of pine wooden bunk-beds and a wooden cot in white, which is perfect for young children. Also within this bunk-bedroom is a 3-drawer pine chest of drawers, a pine bedside cabinet with cupboard, a small drawer with bedside light. This is a single aspect room with a window overlooking the side of the property and the green hills beyond. Wooden venetian blinds at the window add a finishing touch.

Bedroom 3: (Double Bedroom). This room could be classified as the second Master Bedroom with a large wooden king-size bed, 2 wooden bedside cupboards with table lamps, a massive full-length fitted wardrobe containing 2 double wardrobes, 1 mirror fronted single wardrobe with cupboards over. Also within this room can be found a 6-drawer chest of drawers (4-large and 2-small drawers) with pine mirror over and hair-drier. A traditional canvas directors chair can be found in the corner of the bedroom. This is a single aspect room with a large picture window giving a view over the rooftops of Croyde to the sea.

Bedroom 4: (Double Bedroom). A double bedroom with pine double bed, 2 x pine bedside tables and lamps (with cupboard & 1 drawer under), 6-drawer pine chest of drawers (4-large and 2-small drawers), a built in cupboard, currently housing a z-bed, spare duvets and pillows. This is a single aspect room with a large window,with wooden venetian blinds, overlooking the front of the property.


bathrooms

The white house has an en-suite shower-room, separate WC, family bathroom as well as a downstairs WC.

Downstairs WC: Off the hallway, a separate white WC, a small wash hand basin with small oval brass effect mirror over. Small frosted window overlooking the side of the property.

Separate WC: Located upstairs (next to the family bathroom) a separate WC in cream with ½ wooden painted panelling with cream/off white walls. There is a small frosted window overlooking the side of the property.

Family Bathroom: Located upstairs with bath, basin and electric shower over in cream with red tiling and a large wall mounted mirror, shaver point and wood effect vinyl flooring.

Master En-suite shower room: Off the Master Bedroom is an en-suite shower room with WC, white wash basin with brass taps and mirror over, shower cubicle with electric shower and wooden laminate flooring.


outdoors

The garden of the white house has to be seen! Creatively landscaped on 3 levels, it is a ‘garden lover’s’ delight. This beautifully planted, fully enclosed and private garden provides plenty of space for play, relaxation and outdoor entertaining There is a paved area reached from the dining room, complete with table, chairs and parasol, while further up the garden is another seating area with kettle barbeque. Up yet another level and to the rear of the garden is a gorgeous ‘Wendy House’, beautifully kitted out for the children to enjoy. Parking is well catered for in front of the house with space for up to 2 cars.

    Had a fantastic time at Croyde White House, everything you need even essentials i.e.-washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, bins, all cleaning materials you could ever need, I could go on. Great location just a few mins walk at the lane past Billybuds to a field to walk dogs & paths to beach (unfortunately no dogs allowed on Croyde beach). Lovely food & service at all the pubs/restaurants, lovely surf shops etc. would definitely go back, missing it already.

    Great stay already booked for next New Year Stayed at Croyde White House over the new year period with another family. House was clean with enough kitchen equipment to use. There is a wood burner in the living room which we made use of on the cold days after a good walk. Rooms were good sizes and there was plenty of hot water available for showers. The main bathroom looked like it had been renovated recently. White House is a stones throw from walks in the area and the beach but more importantly Billy Budds and the Thatch! We have already booked for New Year.

    “Fabulous House, Fantastic Location.” Reviewed on Trip Advisor April 16th, 2015 We have just returned from 4 nights in The Croyde White House. The house itself is beautiful and extremely well equipped. They really have thought of everything. The location is perfect with a 2 minute stroll into the village and a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. We highly recommend this house and cant wait to go back.
