One of twelve holiday properties at Saunton Sands Farm Cottages, Swallow is a mid-terrace, two bedroomed, single storey barn conversion. Just a few yards level walk from the large main car park, it is south facing with delightful views over the surrounding countryside to the estuary beyond. Set in a quiet rural location, yet just a few minutes’ drive from the beautiful beach and surf at Saunton, this holiday complex is an ideal retreat for the whole family. The indoor facilities are open from 9am until 7pm including a heated indoor swimming pool and large hot tub. Children will also love the indoor play barn with table tennis, pool, table football and Wii games. Outside there is an adventure play area with climbing fort, swings and a playhouse. Younger children are catered for too with their own dedicated play area with toys. Within the 12 acre grounds carp fishing is available in the large lake, whilst domestic farm animals and birds including sheep, chickens, swans, kingfishers and barn owls find a haven here.
Entrance into the property is via a large porch which is ideal for storing surfboards and fishing rods. A 2nd door leads through into a large open plan living room with dining area. Bespoke sofas, soft furnishings and wall mounted TV/DVD, make this a comfortable and cosy environment. The modern kitchen has a washer dryer, fridge, dishwasher integrated double oven with grill, ceramic hob and microwave. From the kitchen French doors lead out to a covered, enclosed patio with garden furniture, ideal for enjoying a morning cup of tea or evening glass of wine. To the right of the hall is the double bedroom which has wonderful views over farmland to the estuary. Next door is a spacious twin room again with countryside and estuary views. The bathroom is modern, tiled with fitted shower over the bath, underfloor heating and heated towel rail.
The accommodation and facilities at Saunton Sands Farm Cottages provide a relaxing, fun and secluded environment for families to enjoy quality time together. It is also an idea base from which to explore the local area, including the nearby village of Braunton, market town of Barnstaple and a choice of stunning surfing beaches. Should you wish to venture a little further then the popular Victorian town of Ilfracombe and wild beauty of Exmoor are approximately half an hour away.
