Enjoying a peaceful, elevated position, in beautiful rural surroundings, this lovely home is only ½ mile from the pretty riverside village of Bishops Tawton, with a choice of character pubs serving excellent food. This pet-friendly period house has recently been completely refurbished to a very comfortable standard, with oil-fired central heating and double-glazing throughout. Accommodation is tastefully finished to a high standard, whilst retaining some attractive original features.


living areas

overton house has a lovely spacious dual aspect living room with a feature Georgian style fireplace with marble surround and hearth. Sit back and relax on one of the comfy sofas, and enjoy the TV with Freeview, video player, DVD player and CD player.

A large entrance hall with spotlighting has an under-stairs cupboard containing an automatic washing machine.


kitchen

A fully fitted kitchen and dining area has a feature fireplace with wood and ceramic tile surround. Wooden work tops, cream cupboards and a solid wood floor give this kitchen a country feel. Appliances include an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and all other essential kitchen utensils and crockery.


bedrooms

There are 2 bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 is a double room with beautiful mirrored fitted wardrobes and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with spa bath. There is a small ante room, ideal for a cot.

Bedroom 2 is a very large room with twin beds and a tilt and turn window door leading to a balcony with delightful valley views.

An excellent shower room with handbasin, large shower cubicle, heated towel rail and non-slip ceramic flooring can be found on the ground floor.

Bedroom 1 has a luxurious en suite bathroom containing a spa bath, twin hand basins and recessed lighting, decorated in aquamarine.


outdoors

French doors lead to a south facing decked area with beautiful Taw Valley views. Garden furniture and outside lighting are provided - all the ingredients needed for evening drinks and al fresco dining. A private and enclosed secondary decked area with garden furniture and a high quality outdoor HOT TUB (additional cost) overlooks the surrounding countryside, where ponies often graze. A driveway provides parking for 2 cars.

    picture perfect pet friendly and relaxing location. Left on Sep 11, 2017 for a stay in Aug 2017 this is a very lovely house, in a very relaxing area with everything you require within easy reach. you have 4 perfect beaches to spend your days on and you have the most relaxing hot tub to chill out in with a glass of wine. one of the best pubs we have eaten in the chichester arms serves very good food in a nice atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. the owners are great, and nothing is too much for them. great views and walks especially if you have dogs.
