The Artist's Studio sits on a hillside surrounded by fields and woodland in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the end of a rural lane. Panoramic windows and the south facing balcony give uninterrupted views across the beautiful valley.

The private lower terrace is a sheltered sun trap that also looks out over the lawn to the valley below, the perfect place to relax and unwind. An abundance of wildlife including deer and badger frequent the garden and fields below, and the local area is excellent for bird watching and walking.

Originally a farm building, the property was converted into an artist's studio twenty three years ago. In 2015, the property was extensively refurbished by interior designer Susie Stocks to create stunning and luxurious accommodation for two.

With central heating and a wood burning stove, this relaxing cosy retreat can be enjoyed year round.

The local village of Wilmington is 2 miles away and has a popular pub and hotel, both serving meals.

Excellent accomodation, but the access road up to the property is very narrow and potholed.

The unit is beautiful, in a very calm rural environment, with views of the surrounding terrain. Our hosts Ruth and Geoff were extraordinarily thoughtful, even volunteering to drive us to a local hospital when my partner came down with a eye infection that inhibited safe driving. The unit is very tastefully designed, and totally up to date. On entering, we found a vase of flowers and a basket of provisions, plus enough in the refrigerator to provide breakfast for a week. So generous! The only caveat for two Americans was the nearly mile and a half on a single track lane through the forest. As it happens, we never met another car, nor had to deal with how to pass on that lane! Anyone loving peace and quiet will adore this place, and the hosts
