… about a mile from Southleigh, a large house beautifully converted from a barn (G191), a large farmhouse (G190) and two detached cottages (G192, G193), all high on a hillside above a picturesque valley, with almost 180 degree views of amazing rolling countryside. They are surrounded by about 200 acres of fields and bluebell woods which you are welcome to wander and enjoy deer and badger watching, the stream, trout lake (fishing), duck pond (carp fishing) and the gorgeous views. An exciting range of activities is available (extra), including clay pigeon shooting, amphibious vehicles and archery - tailor-made packages can be arranged. Horse riding/pony-trekking and deep sea fishing locally can also be arranged. Peacocks strut the grounds, together with roaming chickens and ducks (eggs to collect), and the young, friendly owners who live next door are happy to show you their unusual pets (pigs, alpacas, ostrich, goats). Caterers can be recommended. 

… on the same 200 acre farmstead which you are welcome to wander, a smart, south-facing, detached cottage. You are also welcome to enjoy the activities on offer. To the side of the cottage, enclosed level garden, mostly lawn, with sun terrace (picnic bench, views) and summerhouse/games room (table tennis, washing machine, tumble drier, sofas/chairs, verandah).

Inside, smart furnishings, oak floors, beams. A few steps up (alternative level access, by arrangement) to terrace and door to open-plan living room/fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric Aga) with comfy sofas, TV/DVD and double doors to terrace; more big glazed doors and step down to conservatory/dining room (views, doors to terrace); ground-floor bedroom (5’ zip-linked double or 2’6” twin, TV) with en suite shower-room (suite with shower chair, door from living room). Open tread stairs (stairgate) up into lovely double bedroom (5’ sleigh bed, TV, sloping ceilings) with single day bed, en suite bathroom (suite with roll-top bath plus hand-shower) and double doors to little balcony (chairs) looking over the garden. Arrival after 5pm and departure by 12pm. A quality, comfortable cottage in this peaceful and picturesque part of Devon.
