The Farm was wonderful, providing everything our three family generations wanted. We loved the beautiful tranquil location, yet perfect for exploring the amazing Jurassic coast.

This lovely property was ideal for our three generational annual familly holiday. Plenty of space for everyone. It was great having an almost separate wing for the people without kids to use! We saw deer, buzzards ,lots of other birds including red crested woodpeckers. The kids loved their own lounge, the big grounds to run around in, and the stream was shallow enough for us not to panic if our 3yr old went near., or more often, in! We took plenty of DVDs with us - which was good. The WI-FI is absolutely dismal and most of us had no signal at all unless we virtually sat on the router in the hall, so you need to book any tickets etc BEFORE you go.It was fairly easy to find with the instructions sent to us, though some of the cars did not enjoy the fairly steep track down to the farm, and I don't think I would like to tackle it in icy conditions. There is loads of equipment in the big kitchen and a table where we could all eat together was ideal. The extra fridge was a boon, as was the well used washing machine. There is a clothes line, but no pegs. We appreciated being supplied with both dishwasher and washing machine tablets, but were surprised at there being no condiments other than salt and pepper. One word of warning - there is nowhere to store dry goods as there is so much equipment. We simply decanted a couple of cupboards into others and used those. There is lots to do in the area, with most beaches and attractions taking about an hour on average to reach. Get to Sandy beach before 10.00am if you want to bag a reasonable sized spot and everyone loved Powderham Castle. Axe throwing on the day we went, an excellent booklet for the kids and dressing up - brilliant!
