Head on through more big doors into the sitting room, a light and lofty room with cosy wood burning stove. Good nights’ sleep will be enjoyed in the double bedroom with its en suite and French windows opening to the sunny terrace. This is a lovely place to sit on a warm day with outdoor furniture and a tranquil view to Cadhay and countryside. This area is well known for its picturesque farmland and woods around the River Otter, so you can enjoy great walks inland or on the scenic Coast Path around Sidmouth. The towns of Ottery St Mary and Honiton are interesting to wander and explore shops, pubs and restaurants or you can enjoy city amenities in the lovely city of Exeter. The Cider Press is a smart and beautifully equipped base for discovering the delights of East Devon.

Ottery St Mary sits beside the River Otter and is well known for its literary connections to the poet Coleridge and for its beautiful church often referred to as a Exeter cathedral lookalike. Ottery St Mary is also famous for its traditional 'Tar Barrels' which attracts more than 3000 visitors on 5th November each year.
