... a mile from Membury, sitting peacefully among surrounding country lanes looking over a scenic valley, is pretty, Grade II listed Lea Hill. A Quaker farm and meeting place for much of the time since its 14th cent. origins, the thatched Devon long house and its former barns now accommodate the helpful owners and six attractive cottages, of which we let two. 

Each cottage has a small sunny seating area (table/benches) for enjoying superb long views and shares the surrounding 7 acres of beautifully kept communal grounds (thatched summer house, barbecue area). Spring water. Shared laundry room (washer-driers). A tranquil spot in a beautiful rural setting close to Dorset’s famous ‘Jurassic Coast’.

Chaffinch: a single-storey ground-floor apartment. Spacious living/dining room (TV/DVD) with electric ‘living flame’ fire, long views over the gardens to the valley and door to the garden and private sitting area. Snug galley kitchen (slimline dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, freezer, fridge).  Large double bedroom (6’ zip-linked bed or twin) with en suite bathroom (suite) and door to a private garden with bench and countryside views.
