Orchard Retreat is a smart, designer, single storey lodge set privately in the grounds of the owners home. Inside is exceptionally comfortable, stylish and modern. The large open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has full height, floor to ceiling windows, which fill the room with light and give lovely views across the well planted garden. There is also a traditional wood burning stove to create a cosy year round retreat. Two smart bedrooms offer flexibility, the double room has glazed sliding doors to the decked seating area and the bunk room is ideal for families, with the bottom bunk being a small double and the top bunk a single bed. Outside, a wooden deck runs the length of the lodge and overlooks a spacious, private garden with table and chairs - ideal for bird watching or simply relaxing. Here, you are within easy reach of the stunning Jurassic Coast in Dorset, the beaches of East Devon, and the historic cathedral city of Exeter, making it the perfect base for exploring both beautiful counties.

In a good location to access areas to explore Devon and Dorset. The lodge had everything that we needed. Even though it was Christmas, Nick was on hand if we needed him.

and 3 miles from the picturesque seaside town of Sidmouth highly recommended.we will return again.

The situation and the style of décor really suited us. And the house comes with impressive eco-credentials that aren't really mentioned in the details (solar panels, sorghum roof, etc). Very private location, up a quiet lane.
