Imagine a break in the Devon countryside where the kids can help feed the friendly onsite animals…Set on Smallicombe Farm, Cider Barrel is a bright, spacious cottage in what was once part of a stone barn, and we can’t picture a more perfect spot for a family break. The farm’s home to are breed pigs, cows and sheep, and guests are welcome to feed and pet the animals for that real taste of country life.

The cottage is one of four set around the original courtyard, and it effortlessly captures rustic chic. The open plan kitchen, living and dining space enjoy views of the shared grassy garden, and you’ll be free to step outside into the fresh air straight from the dining area. In fact, there are two communal gardens on the farm, and one has a children’s play area complete with a Sunken trampoline, pirate ship, swings and a slide.

The outdoor kitchen has everything you need to embrace al fresco dining, including a barbeque, a pizza oven and a tennis table. And, when it comes to those long walks to burn off all the calories, you’ll find the surrounding area laced with woodland walks and trails.
