Internally, the cottage has been refurbished in 2012 and has been finished to a high standard throughout. The property offers period features yet offers a modern twist. Externally, the cottage offers a south facing courtyard complete with table, chairs and barbeque.

Whimple is situated in the South West Golden Triangle an area which offer the three key aspects of top schools, attractive homes and good transport. The quiant village has two pubs The Thirsty Farmer is child friendly and serves great food and also offers live music. Also available nearby is a village shop, a post office and a church. The Whimple Heritage Centre provides a wealth of information relating to the village history, including its renowned cider making tradition and world famous orchards.

The beautiful City of Exeter is located just a few miles away and provides excellent shopping, social and cultural facilities including the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. The beach at Exmouth is 20 minute drive away and Dartmoor, a 30 minute drive, is ideal for hiking, riding and cycling. The seaside town of Sidmouth is also just a short drive away, known for its week long folk festival in August. The market town of Honiton is also within a short drive where a warm welcome if offered to all visitors.There are many attractions for all the family in the area including, Escot, Bicton Gardens, The Donkey Sanctury and Pecorama where garden trains and games fill a day with fun. Killerton House a National Trust location is also within a short drive, perfect for both sunny and rainy family days.
