About this property

An exquisitely presented and impressive farmhouse that combines luxury, relaxation and country living. Set in the Devon countryside with outstanding views to the sea, and only a 15 minute drive to the coastal town of Lyme Regis, High Grange is the perfect holiday destination for all the family.

High Grange is owned by Lady Bathurst of Gloucestershire. Her childhood home and remaining in her family for over 70 years, she has recently lovingly restored and renovated the house to embrace her family history, but completed it with every modern luxury taking into consideration the discerning visitor.

Whilst keeping its beautiful character and family heritage, the house certainly does not lack the finer things in life. There are quirky 'wow' factor elements in every room and an abundance of space for the entire family to relax in - and all finished off with a magical two acre garden and woodland, ideal for exploring and adventure. A separate games barn with its own pool table and log burner mean you may never want to leave!

A magnificent handmade kitchen greets you as you enter, and this really is the hub of the house. A cute little breakfast room leads off to one side, and a comfy seating area makes this the perfect place to sit and chat while preparing a family feast to be enjoyed in the large dining room.

There is an opulent formal sitting room complete with a roaring open fire to laze around in front of at the end of the day, it makes a wonderful place within which guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and after dinner games. Alternatively take some private time in the library or snug, and make the most of all the space this fantastic house has to offer.

Upstairs you are greeted by six bedrooms with a total of five bathrooms, all with their own individual styles and themes. The wallpapers and fabrics make each room within the house incredibly special and give it the homely, yet luxurious feel the ultimate holiday home should offer.

Keeping with the idea of luxury High Grange has two master suites, one with an emperor bed originally made for the King of Saudi Arabia and the other with high vaulted ceilings, panelling, original exposed beams and amazing light, yet filled with country charm. The other four bedrooms, two with en-suites, offer their own quirkiness and variety giving a real sense of uniqueness, space and grandeur.

To complete this extraordinary home you will find uninterrupted scenes over open countryside and views of the sea from the upstairs windows, making it a truly unique and memorable place to stay.
