Visit the nearby market town of Ashbourne with its eccentric street plan, Georgian buildings and good selection of inns and restaurants, take advantage of excellent walking and cycling, including the Tissington Trail, or enjoy an action-packed day out at Alton Towers, before returning to your holiday home to plan the next day's activities! Cottage was perfect, had all we needed. Kitchen had all we needed to cook each night. Cosy and comfy bedrooms, living/dining room on the smaller side but for just us was perfect and added to the charm. Enclosed garden to the front of the cottage, great for my German Shepherd. Spotlessly clean throughout. Owners very helpful throughout the stay, luggage their dog was great. The surrounding views were beautiful. Lots of places to visit out and about, Cottage is a great base. Cannot fault it. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely lemon drizzle cake to greet us on arrival. We arrived late in the evening and the host had let us know we could contact her if we got lost in the dark which was lovely. A lovely, quiet location with plenty to see locally. Would definitely stay here again!

Lived up to the description online. Probably the cleanest and most well presented cottage in which we have stayed. Owners friendly but unobtrusive. Very rural, quiet and peaceful with easy access to delights of the Peak District. Great value for money!
