The Granary at Northwood Farm started life as the granary for the 18th-century Grade ll listed farm which was originally part of the Calwich Abbey Estate, but has now been lovingly transformed into an impressive holiday cottage. Guests will enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to spend precious time together in welcoming luxurious comfort, in an idyllic rural village setting and with instant access to the countryside with walks galore. The Granary seamlessly combines original features with modern comforts to provide first-class accommodation in a quiet and peaceful location. The property has a fabulous living room with a large TV and DVD player, comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove, a spacious kitchen with large dining table, a lovely ground floor double bedroom, and a further three first floor bedrooms with real style attention to detail. The delightful courtyard area with furniture and a barbecue is ideal for dining al fresco.
    One of the unique features of this property is the use of an oak framed orangery gym with amazing views over the open countryside. Enjoy use of a treadmill, rowing machine, step machine, free weights and a fitness bike, all whilst listening to your favourite tunes through the wi-fi music system.     "We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Granary. It was a beautiful property, extremely well equipped kitchen and added bonus of pool table\tennis table and use of fully equipped gym. We couldn't fault it and would definitely visit again 😊"

    "A very well converted barn excellently presented with great space for a large group. We would certainly book again! A few thoughts for other visitors: the garden was not fenced, the lower floor of the cottage had steps here and there which may not suit all and the child’s bedroom was quite far away and next to a kitchen upstairs which they felt a bit uncomfortable with. The main Master suit had beams in the middle of the room and a tiny ensuite.We had to “pick up” a few times after other dogs using our garden space."

    "We had a wonderful holiday at the Granary helped by warm weather so we could sit outside for breakfast every day with a stunning view. Our hosts James and Cat were charming, very helpful and so friendly. The cottage is well appointed and very spacious for eight of us, with everything you could need available, from a bottle of Prosecco, milk, cling, foil, dishwasher tablets and there was nothing we lacked or had to buy apart from our food. It was all so clean and tidy and we felt at home immediately. Plenty of parking for four cars. A thought? The bathrooms are again to a very high standard but not entirely convenient. There are two main bathrooms and an en suite shower room which my wife and I used. It was small but adequate. The two bathrooms were super but separate from the three bedrooms. One beautiful bedroom is a long way from its' bathroom with a kitchenette in between it then through quite a long corridor. I am sure the owners will have considered converting the kitchenette into a very nice large en suite bathroom which would be super for the lucky ones that got it. A pretty big job of course but the owners are exceptionally hard working!!! I think it would add value to the cottage as a rental property. Finally the area is super with some great eating places and walks that are a dream."

    "This is a beautifully presented and well equipped property in a stunning countryside setting. The owners have a particular eye for detail and were extremely kind when dealing with enquiries prior to and throughout our stay. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore the Peaks but there are also some wonderful walks immediately on the doorstep. We would definitely like to revisit in the future."

    "Fabulous cottage with lovely views. Excellent facilities, beautifully furnished, photographs are deceiving as rooms were much bigger than expected. Downstairs bedroom is huge so much room it could accommodate an en suite bathroom. Lots of room for large parties. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Fully endorse everyone’s recommendation for a visit to the Duncombe Arms we had a fantastic meal there."

    "It is very difficult to think of anything to fault with this property. Furnishings are of a high standard and impeccably clean.Four young men aged between 22 & 27 in the party found plenty to occupy them with pool table, table tennis, gym, playing cards and Xbox provided.The WiFi was excellent however mobile coverage was non exsistent which was a real blessing!"
