Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers consistently highlight the spotless condition of Kipper's Corner, often describing it as extremely clean and well-maintained, which reflects a high standard of cleanliness.

The property is commended for its convenient location, with easy access to the Peak District, local amenities, and attractions like Alton Towers. However, some concerns about traffic noise and suitability for dog walking slightly affect the score.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of a comfy bed and a warm, cosy atmosphere. The presence of underfloor heating adds to the comfort, despite a single report of a heating issue.

The property is well-equipped with quality kitchenware and a praised shower facility. The thoughtful design and maintenance of the facilities are noted, although the lack of a washing machine and a minor issue with heating are taken into account.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful extras provided by the owners, such as flowers, milk, and biscuits. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed.

The owners Ali and Simon are very friendly and helpful if you need advice. The spiral staircase might be a challenge if you aren't very mobile. Our dog wouldn't go near it which was just as well as dogs aren't allowed upstairs! There are brilliant walks within a short car drive and some round Doveridge which are fairly close to the cottage. The nearby Cavendish Arms have a limited menu but the food we had was excellent. I would definitely recommend this cottage and area.
