Belper, situated in the Derwent Valley, is a town with a long and famous history dating back to the 13th Century, when it was then called Beaurepaire (beautiful retreat), a name that still holds true today. Now a spirited and bustling town, attractions include the North Mill, Long Row and the River Gardens. Just 10 miles away the popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, is set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent.

The cottage was in a beautiful setting surrounded by gardens at the very end of the garden it opens up too a panoramic view The a lovely patio to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine Inside is very tastefully layed out Wood flooring throughout & underfloor heating for cooler weather Very big lounge /diner /kitchen lots of cupboard space Washer drier dishwasher Microwave all mod cons Lovely area to chill out & relax after getting back from exploring or having an active day Beautiful big bathroom with huge shower bath & loo Lots of cupboard space The bedroom is lovely has a dressing table/desk with plenty of lights Fantastic super king bed the best bed Iâve slept in on any holiday Loads of hanging space in wardrobe plus bedside drawers & desk drawer /cupboard Vicki & Nick are very friendly & happy to help if needed Will definitely return & recommend to friends & others 5*
