The Byre is a wonderful converted barn located on the outskirts of Cartmel on the outskirts of Allithwaite, which is home to the famous L'Enclume restaurant. This stone-built cottage has been furnished to an exceptional standard to create the perfect base for a cottage holiday with the Lake District National Park very close by. Inside The Byre is a wonderful open plan living area with plenty of seating and a warming woodburning stoves to create the homely atmosphere that you will need after a long day exploring the area. The kitchen area has all of the equipment that you will need during your stay, including a washer/dryer and a dishwasher, along with views across to the nearby countryside. All of the bedrooms are immaculately finished with lovely bed linen, two come with zip/link beds which can be super king-size or two single beds, and one has a superb en-suite shower room. The family bathroom is classy and contemporary with separate shower, and The Byre benefits from a cosy snug area on the first floor with comfortable seating. Outside there's the added luxury of a brilliant outdoor area with patio seating and a hot tub for you to sit and relax in after a fun-filled day exploring the area. Allithwaite is a charming village offering the basic amenities and good access to the Lake District and all that it has to offer. A superb cottage in a great location for a holiday with family and friends.

The village of Allithwaite is situated on the western edge of the Cartmel Peninsula, close to the Lake District National Park. Allithwaite has a shop, Post Office and a pub serving food, plus Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands and many places of the Lake District are within easy reach.
