The Old Forge is beautifully decorated and has everything you could want and more.Luxurious accomodation!! Spotlessly clean, computer, smart tv, top of the range kitchen and equipment, fabulous bathroom.. and is set in gorgeous countryside. Great base to explore The Lakes..if you can drag yourself away!! Richard and Jan are helpful, but unobtrusive. Our only regret is that we didn't get to go to the gorgeous bar...ran out of time, but will definitely get there next time!! Go!! You will love it!!

Although just opened this beautiful 'cottage'had got it right in every respect. Friendly welcome, luxurious accommodation with everything you could possibly need. Superbly situated close to the M6 and therefore ideal for the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. We will be back.

Great place to stay. The whole place was well finished, all of the fittings are of a very high standard and Richard and Jan were very welcoming. All of the facilities were top notch and the pictures we saw on their website don't do it justice. The bathroom is much bigger than we expected. The road in was steep in places, and so when it snowed I expected to be stuck, but no. They had there own gritter! The views are great with both the lake district and the dales visible. We spent the time going into the Lake District, and that the location's not actually in the park made no difference and everywhere felt like an easy 20mins drive. The cottages are only just open and I hope they do well. Given an opportunity we'll be back.
