Located close to the centre of the popular Edwardian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands, this 1920s, three-storey, semi-detached home has been thoughtfully renovated to provide spacious accommodation, offering contemporary home comforts.
    On the ground floor is the well-equipped kitchen/dining room, as well as a separate utility and a convenient shower room. The comfortable living room has a cosy wood burner and large sash windows, boasting ever-changing sea views. On the first floor is a family bathroom and two good sized king bedrooms, the master of which has an en-suite shower room as well as a sea view. On the second floor there is a family room with three single beds, ideal for the children. To the rear of the property is an enclosed, terraced garden that has access to the garage, which can be used for bicycle storage.
    The Moorings is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from the local amenities in Grange-over-Sands, including a variety of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. There is also a traffic-free promenade and parks with ornamental gardens, duck pond, band stand, tennis courts, bowling green and children’s play areas nearby. Popular activities in the area include golf, fishing and birdwatching. For those who like to stay active, there are plenty of opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling and water sports. Or for those who enjoy a woodland walk, Yewbarrow Woods, which has lovely views over Morecambe Bay and Arnside, is within a short distance of the property.
    Thanks to its proximity to the M6, Grange-over-Sands is a great base from which to explore the southern Lakes and the Cartmel Peninsula. Famous for its sticky toffee pudding, race course and Michelin starred restaurant, the picturesque village of Cartmel is just 2 miles away. Other places worth visiting in the area include Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle, Kendal and Windermere. Coniston, Hawkshead, Grasmere, Ambleside and Bowness are all within easy driving distance. Grange-over-Sands has great public transport facilities including a bus service into Kendal and trains that run along the Cumbrian coast with connections to Lancaster, Preston and Manchester airport. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

    "Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in. Everything was first class, a welcome tray to greet us when we arrived, every room spotlessly clean, a superbly equipped kitchen, a large bright lounge, lovely comfortable beds what more could you want? It was also very suitable for young children. The view from the lounge and upstairs window is spectacular - and there is even binoculars provided in the upstairs bedroom. Would we recommend this property? - we certainly would."

    "The house and the views were absolutely stunning. It is the best equipped house we have ever stayed in and the whole house was immaculately clean throughout. Spacious property with fantastic vistas across Morecambe Bay. It is in the South Lakes so some way to travel to the likes of Keswick or Ullswater but lake Windermere is only 20 mins away and their is plenty to see in the surrounding area. We will definitely be paying a return visit!!"

    "We were a party of four adults and we really enjoyed staying in this beautiful house for a week. The location, the décor, the comfort and the cleanliness were 2nd to none. The views across the bay were awesome and the local amenities (walking, golf, shops, pubs, etc.) were very good, although the walk up the hill from the shops was a bit steep for anyone in less than fit condition. The hosts (Gill and Alan), who lived next door, were very kind, friendly and helpful.In summary; a most enjoyable week's stay in a wonderful house."
