"Lovely semi detached property over 4 floors. Immaculate accommodation in the heart of Grange. Well appointed with everything you could possibly need & spotlessly clean."
Mrs Sutton ‐ 1 Oct 2018
"Grange has lovely shops, a pretty park, nice places to walk to or for taking the train. Hillberry was a super house. Perfect facilities for a large family, it was warm, comfortable and well equipped. Hosts were around but only if there was a crisis to face!! Thoroughly recommended."
Mr Borman ‐ 1 Sep 2018
"Having stayed in many holiday lets over the years, this has to be the best so far! This is the first time we've never had to go out to buy something which was missing (from Jeye cloths to tea strainers). The outside covered terrace was a lovely surprise, and a great place to sit and admire the garden with a glass of wine. We went with another couple on a walking holiday, and found we could get to all our planned walks by the excellent local public transport. Five star accommodation at its best."
Mrs Butler ‐ 1 Sep 2018
"The pictures and marketing really does not do it justice at all. This is equipped to the highest standard with everything you could possibly need. It’s immaculately clean. We stayed as a family of 8 and it was perfect. We had a young child and there was a spare bed and cot ( in immaculate condition) in the huge master bedroom. It was also lovely to find a separate tv room which was perfect for the children. There are hundreds of dvds but also sky movies. We loved the kitchen space which was ..."

"Fabulous house, well equipped, great location and helpful owners."
- ajpaddison, June 2014
"We just stayed at Hillberry for a week and could not fault it. The house is clean and spacious and everything has been thought of by the owners - down to the ice packs in the freezer, kiddy friendly equipment and even a welcome chocolate cake! The location is fantastic as well with Grange being big enough to have quite a few shops but not being too busy like the heart of the Lake District. You don't spend hours in traffic jams here but its about 20 mins drive to some great locations. The best thing about this place is that it doesnt feel like a rental and more like a home to stay in for a week. (albeit a lot cleaner than our own!). On top of that, the owners are very welcoming and always about if you need any help. Would recommend and use again Alistair"

"Stunning and spacious property. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Easily accommodated our party of 8. Hosts were pleasant and helpful, on hand if required but not intrusive. A bottle of wine in the chiller and a home made chocolate cake awaited us on arrival. Our party ranged in age from 11 - 80 , everyone enjoyed their stay and would be delighted to return."

"A lovely, spacious and well appointed house in a great location to explore The Lakes."
- Mrs Mitten, August 2016
"Fantastic location near beautiful scenery and so much to do for all the family...we did boat rides, train rides, splashing in the lake at Fell Foot and enjoyed sampling local produce!"
- Mrs Parry, August 2016
"a beatiful place , five star accomodation. The owners of the property thought of everything you could ever need in a house and even put wine and cookies out for us on arrival , and in a lovely village with every thing you need on the door step ."
- Miss Keenan, August 2016
"Absolutely beautiful house in a fantastic location! 4 bedrooms all of a good size and three with views to Morecambe Bay. The kitchen /dining room area was of an amazing size and every single utensil you could ever need (or think of needing!) Was provided. Would highly recommend and would book again!!!"
- Angharad W, September 2016
"This house is lovely! Lovely large bedrooms. Multiple bathrooms. Brilliant well equipped kitchen and large dining table. Very spacious and great for kids - black out blinds, 2 x cots, high chair. Lovely covered outside area for sitting (bit of a drop on grass area so children need supervision). Great location near shops in Grange, near to the prom. Grange itself is close for day out in Lakes. Highly recommend it."
- Mr Adam, October 2016
"The house is beautiful, modern and warm. Everything we could possibly need for a stay away was here, right down to milk in the fridge for our arrival. The property is over four floors which allowed our party of 6 to spread out and give the teenage children some time alone enjoying the free Wi-Fi. The owners live next door and were friendly when we saw them on arrival and for a brief chat when leaving. The local area is beautiful with walks within easy reach by car and we enjoyed strolling out of the property and walking along the promenade and into the local shops too! One day we decided to leave the car at home and take the short train journey to Arnside across the Kent estuary for coffee and cakes before returning the same way. We would not hesitate to recommend Hillberry as it was a pleasure to stay here and make the house our home for the week."
- Mr Dilks, June 2017
"This is an excellent cottage and fantastic value for money. Really nice people and the place couldn't be better."
- Mrs Kitching, March 2017
"This is a fabulous cottage we all enjoyed it very much. Will definitely book this again."
Mrs Green,
"A warm welcome waited for us from the owners when we arrived at the property. The property was exceptionally clean and spacious and easily met our requirements, with fluffy towels and good quality bed linen. The covered patio at the rear of the property was ideal for relaxing after a full day out whatever the weather. It was convenient for visiting Lake Windermere and further afield, and close enough without being in the hustle and bustle. The grandchildren had lots of fun playing hide and seek over the 4 floors of the property. Not to be missed is a walk along the promenade to watch the tide rushing in, quite a sight to see. A big thank you to the owners for letting us stay in your amazing house. We would have no hesitation to recommend it to others."
Mr Hinz, East Yorkshire
"The property was very clean and included everything we could possibly have wished for in terms of furnishings, utilities, kitchen equipment and space. The whole property was well decorated and it was a pleasure to spend time 'at home'. Everything had been thought of and an excellent selection of DVDs and books, as well as board games, made for easy leisure and family activities. We were particularly pleased with the garden and the extensive parking - as we brought 3 cars which fitted easily in the driveway. All the bathrooms came with hand-soap and toilet paper provided, which was very helpful. The biggest plus for the property was its size, which was large enough to hold our 3 families and provided space for privacy, but also accommodated everyone in a cosy living/dining area. "
Mrs Chris Dixon, Waterlooville,
"The accommodation offered at Hillberry was very clean and spacious and provided everything you could need for a home away from home. Our party of 6 adults found there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings, including pleasant evenings in the garden. All rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable, guides were provided for the local area and plenty of books, games and videos to keep everyone happy. Parking at the house enabled us to easily park our three cars. Overall we had a fantastic time, the weather was sunny and hot every day and we did not want to go home. Thank you to the owners, you have a lovely place there and we would recommend it as a great place to stay if visiting the Lake District and you want a more relaxed environment away from the hustle and bustle of the larger holiday places."
Mrs Joan Lakeland, Burnley, Lancashire
"Everything about Hillberry was great and Grange over Sands is a fantastic holiday venue. We particularly liked the garden and outside dining area, the cleanliness and layout of the house was also good."
Mr Paul Ramsden, Halifax, West Yorkshire
"Everyone agreed the house was just what we wanted, the views from the lounge and bedrooms were excellent. The owners are a very nice couple. "
Mrs Tracey Barber, Stroud, Gloucestershire
"A great house which was easy to live in. There was a nice communal area for the whole family, and an especially lovely kitchen and bathrooms. The attention to detail was very impressive."
Mrs Kate Singlehurst, Darlington, Durham
"We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The property was spacious, meticulously clean and very well appointed, with everything you could possibly need. We would certainly recommend Hilberry to all our family and friends."
Mrs Christine Sales, Leek,
"Hillberry is the nicest, most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. The fittings and furnishings are top quality and no expense has been spared. Extremely spacious and light. Lovely views and a good sized, covered outdoor seating and eating area and a nice garden. A treat to come back to after days out and about. Highly recommended."

"Hillberry was perfect for entertaining friends and family with great views over the bay. The property was central to all amenities and Grange itself is a lovely unspoilt place."

"Beautiful house with amazing views. Owners couldn't have made better provisions of items needed when away from home. Plenty of space for our family and a perfect base location to explore the lakes. This place has it all, you can stay and not venture or travel around. Lovely friendly owners would definitely stay again. "
Dr Ian Burton, Manchester,

Mrs Pauline Wardropper, Warrington, Cheshire
"This was our first visit to Grange-over-Sands and we were very impressed. Our property was a delight & felt extremely comfortable, everything we needed. The owners were friendly & helpful but not intrusive."
Mrs Sharon Germaine-cox, Darwen, Lancashire
"The holiday was brilliant, we really enjoyed the spacious warm and contemporary house finished to a very high standard. The pictures on the internet do not do it justice. We had a warm but unobtrusive welcome from the property owners. The WiFi was excellent and so was the sky package on the main television. The location was close to the shops, sea front and good walks so everything for the walker and shopaholic. We would definitely recommend it, you will not be disappointed and we fully intend to book further stays."
Mr S Mason, Sleaford, Lincolnshire
"An outstanding property. So clean, tidy, spacious and well positioned in a pretty village with good walks amenities and public transport round the lakes, 100% satisfied. The photos do not do the place credit, it is far nicer with views to Morecambe Bay."
Mr Jonathan&Clare Hall, Barnet,
"The size of the kitchen & dining room made a family celebration very easy & enjoyable. Very warm and comfortable property."
Mrs Christine Liddy, Manchester, Greater Manchester
"I spent my 50th birthday at Hillberry with friends for the first weekend and family joined me for the rest of week. It was a wonderful holiday just what I wanted for my birthday week. My friends and family all enjoyed it The house was amazing so clean and spacious, it had everything we needed. I would stay there again and so would my friends. "

Mrs Catherine Shrewsbury, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire
"Hillberry was immaculately clean and every detail had been thought of. We were short of nothing. The owners were very friendly. The views across to the sea were breathtaking. It will be a difficult accommodation to beat."
Mrs Eilidh Paddison, Kirkcaldy, Fife

Miss Michele Newby, Hook, Hampshire
"I have rarely if ever marked something excellent all across the board but this property was. Everything was there in abundance, crockery, cutlery, bedding was 100% cotton and the towels were lovely and fluffy! House was excellent and good for the legs with all the stairs! Bathrooms were good and the shower, I have to admit, was one of the best ever that I have used."
Margaret Stuawart, Elgin,
"Overall the house was excellent inside and out, and suited our needs perfectly."
Mrs Susan Leslie, Forres, Moray
"Fabulous, spacious house which easily accommodated our party of eight. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. Clearly a great deal of thought and care has gone into the planning and upkeep of this lovely property. The owners were very friendly and have perfected the ideal balance of being helpful and on hand if required but not intrusive. Perfect covered area to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine when it appeared with clear roof providing shelter when the weather was not so kind! We enjoyed playing board games at the splendid dining table and appreciated the home-made chocolate cake and chilled wine that awaited our arrival. Our party ranged from age 11 to almost 80 - everyone loved Hilberry and would be very happy to return. Well done and many thanks to the owners."
