Your hot tub may not be fully operational on the day of your arrival. Following Health and safety best practices all hot tub water is changed before each new guest and the hot tub needs time to achieve the correct operating temperature.

For the comfort of guests smoking is prohibited in ALL lodges. The owners reserve the right to levy a £250 cleaning charge to prepare the lodge for future guests if evidence is found

Just back from a recent stay at boreray lodge. This place is marketed as a luxury holiday lodge, no way. It’s perfectly adequate but nothing about it is luxury. Bathroom needs completely redoing, kitchen appliances take you back to the 1990’s. A manky rug on the floor had seen better days about 5 years ago. The leather chair/sofa were probably new about 20 years ago. The check in/out times are pretty ridiculous as you lose a whole day basically. After checkout I then received a call from a staff member accusing us of stealing the ‘complimentary bath robes’ (turns out this was the guests who had stayed in the lodge after us) I’m not sure why anyone would want to take some stained old bath robes anyway but there you go. For the price charged the whole thing was totally underwhelming. Whilst I understand people have different standards, something marketed as luxury should really live up to it. The best thing about it by a long way was the hot tub.
