Lodge needed more lounge chairs, 1 sofa was not enough. Gas oven was very difficult to light even after reading the instructions. Microwave was also difficult to use. Very aware of our neighbours due to lack of sound proofing. Otherwise liked the stay.

on our arrival we where greeted to a well kept site and the lodge looked ready to go for our short stay.We looked around the lodge and in the top right hand corner there was a crack that went up the whole side and onto the ceiling. we could tell that it hasent been looked at in a while.the bedroom looked tidy but the mattress was very firm, to the point that by the end of our stay we both had bad backs when we left.the sofa wasent much better, it was uncomfortable to the point that when wwe sat on it we sunk into it instead of sitting on it.the crack running up the wall and onto the ceiling wasent to appeling. it looked like that it could cause damage if not fixed soon.overall the place looks aesthetically pleasing on the outside but when inside it you can tell that the clean team havent done there job properly and it needs to be inspected before the lodge is given the all clear.we did find that the info pack had all the right infomation and was informal about the local area and what the lake district had to offer.when we left in the morning there was about 20 wasps right outside the front door and they looked like they where setting up home in one off the outside lights.i wouldnt say that it is value for money until all the things that have been mentioned have been fixed. the lodge needs someone with an eye for detail so other people dont write reviews like this one.its not a review that i like to write but you have to be honest.

Beautiful lodges in stunning surroundings. Very clean and well-equipped and the hot tub was perfect. Overall a lovely break, will definitely recommend!
