The cottage has a secure walled garden that benefits from the morning sun and leads on to a further side garden. A new glazed sun parlour provides sheltered seating from which to view the cottage garden. This small walled garden contains garden furniture and a pergola and provides a high degree of privacy and a peaceful haven at any time of year.
Although pets are welcome at this property they are restricted to the ground floor and are not permitted up stairs.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were instantly put at ease but the homely feel of this property. You can tell that this house is very well looked after and the owners have thought of everything- we loved every minute of being here! The kitchen has everything you need, and the living room, even though open plan with the large dining room, is very cozy and warm, especially with the log burner on! The pub behind the house is great, very welcoming and staggering distance back to the house :) we will definitely be back!

Corney House is a lovely house with a homely kitchen that has all the usual appliances. The lounge is really comfortable and was fantastic to relax in front of the fire with a drink after a long days walking! Bathroom is very luxurious and the bed was also extremely comfortable. The whole house is just perfect and we would certainly stay again. The pub which is 30 seconds walk is welcoming and serves a T bone steak to die for! Don't be put off by the distance to the lakes as the views on the drive are fantastic and a its a great way to enjoy the whole lake district.

Six adults and two dogs stayed in this lovlely cottage at Christmas. Thought it might have felt a bit cramped with us all there. It wasnt. Very spacious, clean and well kept. Three good size bedrooms, lounge and dining room. The only thing that I could fault was the freezer. There wasnt one!! It was inside the fridge which wasnt very practical when we had taken such a lot of shopping for xmas. There was no way my turkey was going to fit!! Apart from that we had a fabulous time. Its in a lovely village with the local pub just across the road. Would definately go again.
