The Shepherd's Hut provides quaint and quirky accommodation in a rural setting overlooking the pond and rolling countryside to the Pennines beyond. The 'Hut' is ideal for those who enjoy the great outdoors and provides a warm and cosy base from which to explore the Eden Valley by bike or on foot.

Crake Trees Manor, Crosby Ravensworth is located 15 minutes from the M6 and A66, 13 miles from Penrith and 7 miles from Appleby-In Westmorland. The village itself is part of the Lyvennet Valley and the area is steeped in history. There are lots of public footpaths straight from the doorstep and the nearest pub serving food is just a 10 minute walk away in the nearby village of Crosby Ravensworth.

The ultimate glamping experience. The Shepherd’s Hut at Crake Trees Manor is set in a picturesque, peaceful location overlooking the pond and has walks from the door. Based on a traditional Shepherds Huts which were taken into the fields in spring time for the shepherds to keep an eye on the sheep during lambing they are compact but perfectly designed for a self sufficient life. The hut is made from steel and wood on a cantilevered base and clad in galvanised steel with plenty of insulation. Inside fitted in a lovely simple Scandinavian style with handmade oak bed and seating.

Heated by a wood stove, with candles for lighting, the hut comprises:

A small verandah to the front of the hut to relax with views across the farmland and Eden Valley to the Pennines.

Guests have a separate kitchen area with kettle, fridge, microwave and sink , also local walks and information and a T.V.

Guests have use of a super warm shower room with WC.

Breakfast can be taken in the farmhouse at £10.00 per person

All bed linen, towels and supplies of logs for the stove provided.

Private parking for one car.
