It's a farm cottage so don't expect streetlights & WiFi streaming. Upside-down layout takes a little getting used but permits a splendid view. Walking access to Howgills & limestone plateau.

It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our weeks holiday. It was very relaxing to sit outside on an evening watching the bats and listening to the sheep. A great base location for exploring the surrounding areas, with lots to do. The children enjoyed the play area too.

The area was so peaceful and we had a lovely view from the living room. We found a couple of lovely walks especially the Smardale nature reserve.
