No wonder the Howard family (of Castle Howard fame) previously used this as a country residence.

Beautiful Carriage House. Surroundings are beautiful and tranquil. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Ground staff very helpful and friendly as well. Any minor issues were quickly sorted with a smile. Hot tub was great. Perfect place for a nice relaxing holiday and well placed to visit Carlisle , Penrith etc…. Recommend Carlisle Castle and Cathedral. We will be returning
