A farmhouse that has been renovated for holidaymakers, it is 3 miles from the town of Alston and just a 5 minute walk away from the historical Epiacum Roman Fort. This is perfect for large groups of families or friends looking at a holiday get together.

Across two floors, this farmhouse has all that you need to ensure your stay is perfect from start to finish. On the ground floor you can prepare dinner and lunches in the open plan kitchen and dining room, with enough seating for 11 people. For those evenings of relaxation you can enjoy the TV, with Sky+ and DVD Player, or take in the view outside in the large garden.

The first floor has five bedrooms: a double bedroom, a double bed and single bed in the two family bedrooms, a twin bedroom and single bedroom. The large and enclosed garden provides fantastic views of the surrounding scenery and is worth the stay alone.

Whitlow Farm is perfectly placed for exploring the area. A 3 mile drive takes you to Alston, where you can visit shops, restaurants and sites. For those fishing enthusiasts, you can book fishing for a small fee at The River Tyne which is just over two miles away.

A half hour drive takes you to Penrith town and Ullswater Lake. Hexham and the historical site of Hadrian’s Wall are all within easy reach of this perfectly located house. For those who enjoy history, a guided tour of the lead mine of Killhope will give you a glimpse into the past.
