Refurbished to an extremely high standard, the property offers very comfortable holiday accommodation for 6 people. The open plan living/dining and kitchen area is a lovely social space, perfect for chatting over a glass of wine or preparing the evening meal. The charming vaulted beamed ceilings and stone wall are a fabulous feature and the perfect backdrop to the comfortable leather sofas, centre stone fireplace with gas effect stove and large dining table with high back chairs. There’s a ground floor master bedroom with large wet room, and the remaining two bedrooms are on the first floor. All beautifully decorated and furnished in hues of grey and white with wicker chairs and fluffy cream rugs.

The cottage is the perfect choice if you’re looking to explore this unspoilt area. It forms part of a working sheep farm set in some 1800 acres, alongside the owners farmhouse and Broadmea Barn. The two properties can be rented together for large groups to accommodate 16 adults and 2 children.

Visit Hadrian's Wall and the world heritage sites of Housesteads, Vindolanda, Birdoswald and Chesters dotted along this historic wall (8 miles away). Get away from it all in Alston, the highest market town in England with a good range of shops, craft galleries, coffee shops and pubs. The town is perched in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an ideal spot if explore by foot or by bike. This is a beautiful and unique landscape of fells, open moorlands, mountain streams, rivers and waterfalls. Take a trip on the highest narrow-gauge railway in England at the South Tynedale Railway which has a station at Alston. Ride through the valleys and mountains and enjoy a whistle stop tour of the wonderful countryside landscape.
