Dating back to 1734 and located down a country lane, next to a working livestock farm, this cottage is ideal for a family or friends in order to explore the area, with the wonderful Lake District National Park within reach. Once inside you will see the dining room first with exposed beams and open stairs up to the bedrooms, and ahead of you is the kitchen which has a tiled floor and a door leading to a rear parking area. Completing the ground floor are a bathroom, which is just off the kitchen, and the welcoming sitting room boasts an electric fire, a view of the front lawned garden and far-reaching hill views. The three bedrooms upstairs are spacious and comfortable with one of them having a beautiful period feature fireplace and all have a TV. In addition to off road parking, this charming holiday home has a front lawned garden, from where you can relax with a coffee whilst planning your day ahead. Great walking and cycling can be enjoyed in the area, and the coast and train station are within walking distance. The nearest shop and pub are in the village of Beckermet, which even boasts an award-winning pub, The White Mare. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, including St Bees with its priory, sandy beach and golf course, Muncaster Castle, Hardknot Pass with its Roman Fort and the Georgian town of Whitehaven. Also the Lake District National Park is a must to explore and has something for everyone, including the Scafell Pike, England's highest peak. The small village of Beckermet is located just one mile from the beautiful West Coast and sits amongst dramatic Lakeland countryside. Consisting of a scattering of cottages, farm dwellings, modern homes and two traditional English pubs serving local beers and good food, the village even boasts its own pop festival - the annual Beckfest held in August.
