Hethersgill is 11 miles north east of the Great Border city of Carlisle in an area of rolling countryside. Hadrian's Wall and Lanercost Priory are both historic sites welcoming visitors from all over the world and within a short drive of the village. The village boasts a welcoming inn, The Black Lion serving refreshments after a days exploring, also Skitby House restauant and The Robin Hood Inn are within 3 miles. Further afield Carlisle has numerous bars and restaurants, a shopping centre, cinema, museum, cathedral and castle.
The Shepherd's Hut sits in the grounds of the owners home with a view towards the woodland where leisurely romantic walks can be enjoyed. The owners have lovingly hand made the Shepherd's Hut with its own private terraced area and complete with shower block to ensure guests have all the facilities needed to make this a memorable stay.
