Ideal for a large family or a group of friends who love to be part of a calm and tranquil environment. Step into the hallway, which leads off into two ground floor bedrooms, perfect for those who are less mobile than others, both presented in a fresh, neutral shade for an uplifting feel. Next is the lounge, fitted with plush beige-coloured carpet and a large red corner sofa resting adjacent to the wonderful picture window, which showcases lovely views out over the still waters and glorious wildlife, enveloping the cottage. Spend some quality time curled together with some TV or around the dining table which is positioned in the opposite corner of the room. The kitchen is neat and tidy with ample equipment, aiding you comfortably throughout your stay. Upstairs benefits a charming loft conversion with a light and airy feel; a double and single bed, sleeping two or three guests, bright Velux windows and an en-suite cloakroom with a dressing area. Outside you can enjoy the peace and serenity of the countryside while the town of Carlisle rests just a few miles away offering an assortment of attractions. Further afield are the wonderful areas of The Lake District National Park and the North Pennines. Consider a stay at this lovely holiday let and enjoy the local experiences it has to offer.

Carlisle is set in the county of Cumbria, situated just 10 miles south of the Scottish Borders and is nicknamed the Border City. Carlisle Castle, still relatively intact, now houses the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and the Border Regiment Museum. The Settle to Carlisle railway runs across some of the most breathtaking scenery to the popular Yorkshire town and Carlisle Racecourse has a packed fixture list including Ladies’ Day and evening fixtures.
