Snaptrip says

The Dairy in Cumbria offers a comfortable and spacious stay with stunning views and a great location for exploring the area. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the owners and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness has been noted as an area for improvement, with some guests mentioning cobwebs, a filthy kitchen blind, and dog hairs. However, other reviews describe the property as clean, suggesting inconsistency in this aspect.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience for exploring local attractions, including Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. The serene setting and proximity to nature reserves and amenities contribute to its high rating.

Most guests find The Dairy comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere, snug surroundings, and good sleeping arrangements. A few guests noted issues with beds and a leaky shower, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, some guests report maintenance issues such as an insecure dishwasher, ageing decking, and a hot tub in need of attention.

There is insufficient information regarding the thoughtfulness of the hosts in terms of gifts or special touches for guests. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.

The accommodation was just what we’d hoped for and was very clean and comfortable. We explored on foot and by bike - it’s a cracking area to visit with beautiful scenery and history and we’d highly recommend staying here.

Ideally situated for exploring Hadrian's Wall. First holiday cottage stayed in which has had excellent WiFi. Property very comfortable and clean, you can tell a lot of time and effort is put into maintaining and cleaning property between guests. Heated towel rail a bonus. Didn't need the two duvets which were on bed so had to remove one but sure this will be welcomed in the winter time. Would have been nice to have had some information provided on local attractions, places to visit, local walks etc. Didn't meet the owners but knew how to contact if there had been any problems. Parking not an issue, if you can't park at front of property there is plenty of space at the back. Would definitely stay again.

Everything you could require was in place just like your own home. The property was very spacious but still felt cosy. The only slight problems were that the parking space at the front of the property was a little tight for maneuvering to exit and it was not obvious where waste was expected to be placed. We would definitely recommend The Dairy for a relaxing holiday!
