The living area is all open plan, with lovely comfy sofas just right for curling up in front of the wood burning stove and a really well equipped kitchen/dining area with access to the garden. There's a handy cloakroom with hand basin and WC downstairs. Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with lovely views, character beams and en-suites. The master double has an en-suite bathroom containing a bathtub with a shower above, hand basin and WC, while the two further bedrooms both have en-suite shower rooms with a hand basin and WC. The twin bedroom has zip link mattresses and can become a double if preferred. The third bedroom has L shaped bunks, suitable for adults. Outside, there's a private patio area that has gorgeous views over the garden and open countryside. It's the perfect spot to relax with a drink and unwind after a busy day's sightseeing. Robyn Cottage has off road parking for two cars and is the ideal getaway, located on a working farm. The cottage is just five minutes drive away from Wigton for your everyday needs, such as shops, bars and restaurants. Historic Carlisle, with its cathedral, castle, racecourse and shopping centre, is just 15 minutes drive, and is the gateway to an exploration of Roman Britain and Hadrian's Wall. Further afield, you'll have access to some of Cumbria's most incredible beaches on the Solway Coast and the North Lakes, all via the charming town of Keswick, which is just a 25 minute drive away along a scenic route. Cruising on the famous Lakeland steamers, picnics on the beach and outstanding fine dining destinations are all virtually on the doorstep.

A traditional Cumbrian market town with a charter granted in 1262, which still holds a market each Friday in the covered market hall, along with an with an open air car boot sale. Wigton is a popular centre for shopping, pubs and restaurants, and also boasts a theatre, bowls, swimming, tennis and other sports.
