A town in west Cumbria, five miles from the coast and on the edge of the Lake District National Park. It has a railway station and a number of shops and pubs. North is the market town of Wigton, popular for shopping, pubs and restaurants, and also boasts a theatre, bowls, swimming, tennis and more. Silloth is close by, as is the Solway Coast aonb and the Solway Firth.
