About this property

The property is a charming and attractively presented semi-detached stone cottage located in the beautiful Cotswold village of Southrop.

Ideal for those wishing to explore the Gloucestershire countryside with its thriving market towns, country walks and pubs. Perfect for a week’s stay or for a long week-end ‘chill-out’.

The exterior of the property has front and rear gardens, both featuring beautiful trees and flowers, making it an ideal place to relax whilst offering children a safe place to play. The village recreation area with swings etc is nearby. Across the green, the renowned pub - The Swan - provides an excellent selection of food and drink including snacks.

On the ground floor guests can relax in the sitting room, complete with wood burner, sofas and a Smart TV. The small but efficient kitchen is adjacent to the dining room which has seating for 6. A sun room with French doors looks out onto the secluded rear garden where there is an outside table and chairs for al fresco eating and drinking.

The ground floor has a small single bedroom and a separate WC. Upstairs are the king-sized and double bedrooms which are served by the family bathroom.

Ideally situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, you can step out of the door and immediately enjoy local walks. Further afield serious walkers will be spoiled for choice with the area boasting the Cotswold Way, the Macmillan Way and Shakespeare’s Way. Two minutes walk along the lane is the luxury country house, spa and cookery school called Thyme.

The market towns of Fairford, 3 miles, Burford, 8 miles, Cirencester, 12 miles and Stow on the Wold, 18 miles, are easy country drives away. Fairford hosts the Royal International Air Tattoo every July and a day at Cheltenham races is a 45 min drive down the A40.
