About this property

Perched in the thick of one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, Hadcroft Cottage is as quintessential English country cottage as you could imagine. An utterly charming cottage packed with homely touches throughout, this is an ideal retreat for those looking to escape into the countryside and enjoy peace and quiet. Happily you are only moments from some of the most popular spots in the northern Cotswolds including Stow on the Wold, Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh. Inside the cottage is gorgeously cute, with big beams, a huge romantic inglenook fireplace with roaring fire and lovely pine stairs plus the odd 'knick-knack' which give a nod to the cottage's historic past. Outside your enclosed garden (ideal for the very welcome pooches should you wish to bring them) overlooks the woods, filled with huge, old trees and the sound of birdsong - in fact you're even overlooked by an occupied dovecote! If you are lucky you may also spot the resident Barn Owls. Not only that but there are three lakes you can trundle down to and fish in! Truly idyllic. If you jump in your car you can be in Stratford in no time as well as the lovely local National Trust houses like Hidcote, Kiftsgate and Bourton House. Charming and totally welcoming - you'll love this beautiful, rural retreat.

(all anglers must have an Environment Agency Rod License)

Aston Magna, Gloucestershire is a short drive away from the market town of Chipping Campden. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming limestone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. There is also several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through.

The area is very picturesque and quiet with lots of pubs and villages nearby to explore. We have stayed in the Cotswolds several times and this was by far the best cottage we have stayed in and will definitely be returning.
