Blockley is a delightful golden stone village situated in the rolling hills of the North Cotswolds between Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden, and near Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water and well-known gardens. The village has many historic buildings, including a converted water mill along the brook. It is a peaceful village with a friendly community, centered around the café and well-stocked shop. The accomodation was lovely, the cottage full of character and very well equiped. The garden was very pretty too. We felt that the information on The Glen needed to state that the cottage is unsuitable for the elderly or infirm as there are very steep steps to the sitting room on lower ground floor. As we had an elderly person in our group we had to help her with the stairs.
