About this property

A beautiful, terraced, Cotswold stone-built cottage located on the edge of the charming Cotswold village of Bibury in Gloucestershire. As you step into this delightful little cottage you get a sense of the home-from-home feel, making guests immediately relax. Set over the ground floor, the bright and cheery open plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table, together with a comfortable seating area containing a double sofa bed, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring this stunning part of the country. Make your way into the lovely bedroom, next door to which is a stylish bathroom. Outside is a shared front gravelled garden area with a picnic bench. Just a short walk takes you to the charming 15th century pub, boasting exposed timbers, real fires and locally-sourced home-cooked food. Further amenities can be found in the centre of Bibury including tea rooms, a village shop and a Post Office as well as a well-stocked deli at the local trout farm. Enjoy a spa treatment at nearby Barnsley House, visit the capital of the Cotswolds, Cirencester, or enjoy watching a game of polo at the Bathurst Estate. Many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages and the Regency spa town of Cheltenham are also close by. A cosy cottage, ideal for a romantic break away in the stunning Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

William Morris called Bibury ‘the most beautiful village in England” and today it is world famous as a village which best epitomises the English rural scene. At its centre is an outstanding Saxon church. So important is the village architecturally that the National Trust is closely involved in its preservation - Arlington Row, a row of weavers cottages was restored by the Trust in the 1970s and its distinctive roofline and gables are one of the most photographed scenes in the Cotswolds. The village has a selection of shops, pubs and tearooms and a wider range of amenities are available in the nearby market town of Burford “Gateway to the Cotswolds”.
