A lovely character cottage with the added benefit of the renowned Quarryman Inn on your doorstep and the Camel Trail & estuary can be accessed less than a mile down the lane.
A former quarryman's cottage built in the 19th century and sympathetically modernised to provide a delightful mid terrace cottage with stone fireplace and woodburner. Set in beautiful countryside with the Camel Trail and estuary at the end of the lane and only a short drive from several sandy surfing beaches and spectacular coastline. The courtyard entrance to the cottages is adjacent to the delightful Quarryman Inn so in the evening you don't have to get in your car to have a quiet drink or a meal. However, if you want an extensive choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs, the market town of Wadebridge is less than 2 miles away and the pretty port of Padstow, the home of Rick Stein's seafood restaurant, is only 7 miles.
ground floor:
Lounge: TV, DVD player, BT TV box, stereo DAB radio/CD player, woodburner.
Kitchen/Diner: Electric hob, built in oven, refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer.
first floor:
Bedroom 2: Double bed (4'6''), wardrobe.
Bathroom: Bath (electric shower over), wardrobe, basin, w.c.
Bedroom 1: Twin beds (3' - zip & link to form 6' double), views over countryside, hair dryer.
garden & parking: Parking in the cottages' car park next to the garden. To the front open plan grassed garden with small concrete patio. NB No garden furniture. To the rear, large communal courtyard, part of which has benches for the adjacent Inn.
Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Pets Welcome: £25 per pet per week Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent; night storage heater lounge and landing, electric convectors bedrooms, heated towel rail bathroom; woodburner and electric fire lounge.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen provided; towels not provided but can be hired from Housekeeper for £4 per person per week; please order in advance; please advise twin beds to be zipped or unzipped in advance.
Baby Equipment: Stair gate; other equipment not provided but can be hired - see hire page

We have stayed at Slate Cottage many times. We would definitely recommend this cottage. Interesting enough we noted in the guest book other families returning more than once! It has a lovely comfortable feel, a bit like home from home. Ideal location to visit many parts of Cornwall.
