The two nicely furnished bedrooms are both on the ground floor along with the bathroom. On the first floor is the open plan living area with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Many an hour will no doubt be spent gazing out to sea and right down the coast all the way to Padstow. Make sure you take in one of the most spectacular Cornish sunsets direct from the sitting room. Outside is the patio in the peaceful old stone courtyard, a real sun trap and a great spot to relax after a day on the coast. Tintagel is a pleasant walk or a very short drive away and offers a range of quality restaurants, cafes, pubs and takeaways as well as one of the most iconic tourist attractions in the South West, Tintagel Castle with dramatic sea views on the headland and island which offers over 18 acres to explore. Barn Cottage is superbly placed for touring with the popular picturesque villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac and Crackington Haven all close by and all well worth a visit. Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water.
