About this property

Just a five minute drive from the sandy surfing and dog-friendly beach at Trebarwith Strand, this cosy, freshly renovated traditional end-of-terrace cottage is tucked into a quiet by lane in the small hamlet of Trewarmett only 2 miles from Tintagel, famous for its myths and legends of King Arthur.

It is usually possible to park in the entrance to the by-lane leading to the property. From the by-lane a step and door open into a cosy and comfortably furnished carpeted sitting room with two sofas arranged around the central fireplace with a wood burning stove, a door leads through to the fitted kitchen with the characterful low beamed ceiling, tile floor and a small drop leaf table.

From the kitchen eight narrow carpeted stairs with a rope handrail lead to the first floor off which are two light and comfortably furnished carpeted bedrooms, a double with sloping ceillings and exposed beams and a twin with exposed beams and partial sea views through the trees. Completing the first floor accommodation is a family bathroom W.C with a small bath with shower over, basin, heated towel rail and stripped timber floor.

A glazed door from the kitchen opens into a small porch with a tile floor and two further double glazed French doors lead out to the enclosed garden at the rear, with three small terraces and stone steps connecting each one. A picnic bench on the second terrace overlooks the farmhouse opposite with glimpses of the sea through the trees.

The property is set in Trewarmett, one of the seven parishes of Tintagel where there is a good selection of local shops, restaurants, museums and pubs all within easy walking distance as well as the dramatic South West Coastal footpath and Tintagel Castle itself. Trebarwith, 1.5 miles, has a large area of sand and rocks revealed at low tide and can be easily accessed on foot. The picturesque harbour village of Boscastle is a 10 minute drive.

Bodmin Moor, the beaches on the Camel Estuary, Polzeath and The Camel Trail are within easy reach, whilst the larger towns of Wadebridge and Padstow, Bodmin and Launceston are all within a half hour car journey offering a wider range of facilities.
