… a mile from Tintagel, set back from the Trebarwith road and two fields back from the spectacular Coast Path, a smart detached cottage converted from an old smithy. Small, totally private paved area (picnic table) to one side, enclosed by a high stone wall, and small parking area at the front. Seventy-five yards away, a footpath leads to the Coast Path (about 1½ miles to Trebarwith Strand’s big sandy low-tide beach and a mile to Tintagel). Great walk to Boscastle for the fit.
Access from small pebbled frontage into open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer) with granite worktops, slate floor, central island, woodburner, TV/DVD and glazed door to courtyard. Stairs up to gallery with chairs/beanbags and lovely long meadow view to the coast - great sunsets. Three ground-floor bedrooms – a twin with long meadow view, step down to a double (5' bed), and a bunk room - all have limited clothes-hanging space, but cupboard space in living room. Smart bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Best for maximum of 4 adults. Although not specifically designed for wheelchair users, it could be suitable. A cottage with a beautiful, welcoming interior and within easy reach of stunning coastal walks.

"We had a lovely holiday is a wonderful cottage that was extremely well equipped. Being able to smoke indoors on holiday is a requirement for two of our party and you were able to provide a choice for us. I might add that there are an awful lot of people like us - who want to be able to smoke indoors and I am already investigating a place to go next year. I pass on places to other smokers and we wish that these properties were much more clearly indicated as there are so few of them. We are holidaying in Norfolk we think next year otherwise you would be my first port of call if we were coming to the west country."

"If The Old Smithy is included in HH's 2016 offering my opinion of them will be greatly diminished. This was the most expensive of the three HH properties we stayed at, and had high hopes the price would result in something special. My oh my, weren't we disappointed. CAVEAT EMPTOR."
