In and around nearby St Austell you will have a host of restaurants, cafés and bars to choose from when it comes to an evening out, as well as a multi-screen cinema and tenpin bowling for your entertainment. The major attractions of the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, as well as the beautiful villages of Charlestown and Mevagissey, are all within a short drive, ensuring there will always be so much to do and see. Just a short drive from the pretty Cornish coast, St Austell is one of the largest towns in Cornwall. Today, the china clay industry is in decline and tourism has become the mainstay of income for St Austell and its surrounding parishes. St Austell town centre is home to a range of independent and well-known shops, an undercover shopping centre and a Local Produce Market, which takes place every Friday and Saturday.
