When we arrived the caravan did smell like it had been cleaned but not very thoroughly as we found a mouldy marshmallow in one of the kitchen cupboards, also, the placemats were filthy and covered in food from the previous occupants. The double bedroom felt damp, any clothes that we hung in the cupboard smelled musty. The rest of the caravan was fine.We did eat in the restaurant one night, I would not recommend this to anyone, of the 4 of us eating 2 of us had problems; I found a hair in my pizza and my daughter's "cheesy pasta" was overcooked pasta with rock hard cheese on top which had to be removed in order for her to be able to eat the pasta, when I reported this to staff the man that helped didn't seem at all surprised that there was a hair in my food and took it off the bill immediately without being asked to, however, his response to my daughter's meal was that the chefs had also been complaining about the cheese, he did offer a replacement pizza to me but I had been put off by that point. In fairness my Husband and Son both said their pizzas were ok (as was mine before I found the hair). The restaurant itself is very tired looking and not very clean. The staff were the only thing good about it. Also, this is advertised as a Steakhouse and Pizzeria, but they don't have steak on the menu. The children's entertainment was ok, the entertainers did the best with what they had, we had to laugh when they told the children it was time to meet the gang and then put on a short video for them to watch, lots of confused looking children. There isn't anything to do in the local area, I wouldn't visit this site without a car, Polzeath and Rock are not too far away but you can't walk to a beach. This park is advertised as having a games room.....this is simply a dirty, cold room with a ping pong table and a sofa that looks like it's been there since the 80s, there is nothing else in the room (well unless you count the teenager that we found sitting in there looking absolutely bored out of his mind - I couldn't blame him). It's a shame that the manor house doesn't have any original features, it has been stripped of any character it would've once had, the building is cold, dated and not very clean. The swimming pool was fine.Probably the best thing about this place was the outdoor play area.Sadly I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and won't ever return.

The caravan was clean and very well laid out. The pull out bed worked very well for us.
