St Merryn is a typical Cornish village, located within two miles of the coast and close to the harbour and fishing port of Padstow. St Merryn is a holidaymaker's dream, offering two pubs, three restaurants, mini markets and a Post Office, and remains within easy reach of the area's visitor attractions. Newquay is eleven miles down the road, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a paradise for watersports enthusiasts. Newquay also offers good shopping, a zoo, a Sea Life centre and a variety of nightspots, clubs, pubs and restaurants. Set back from the main holiday crowds, St Merryn is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area at your leisure.

Everything you need is in the chalet. Only slight negative is signal is quite poor in the chalet. That cannot be helped. Overall very good experience.

We arrived really late at night and as we turned on the bedroom light the bulb went (which we know canât be helped). We called the next morning to inform them about the bulb and that the heater in the living room area was not working. The bulb got fixed that same day but no one came to fix the heating so we were left freezing cold each night as it was the end of October and also because they requested the bathroom window always be left open to help ventilate the property. Mattresses were really uncomfortable. On a positive note the towels were huge, plenty of them and the shower was powerful.
