About this property

A stylish retreat with a boutique hotel standard interior, private hot tub in the garden and far reaching views toward the north coast. Wake up to sea views across the stunning world heritage coastline a mile away, or head out on foot to explore scenery which has inspired generations of artists and writers. The Old Forge has a traditional layout with ground floor comprising a super spacious sitting room with wood burning stove, a fabulous dining room and a kitchen fit for a king with central island for more informal meals. The house offers flexible sleeping arrangements on the first floor. There are two master bedrooms with king size beds and en-suite shower rooms. (you will have to fight for the one with a sea view though). For families the second bedroom can be presented as a twin if requested. The third bedroom is smaller but still suitable for adults or children. If you haven't had enough of the water outside in the hot tub, the bathroom has a huge corner bath too and separate shower! South facing, the garden is fully enclosed with large patio for alfresco dining and lawn for the all-important lazing around after lunch. The Old Forge is under a mile from St Just, the most westerly town in England. Here you will find good pubs, cafes and delicatessens as well as several art galleries, including Kurt Jackson's Jackson Foundation. Fine dining pubs and restaurants are popping up all over West Cornwall so head to The Beach Restaurant at Sennen Cove or The Old Coastguard Hotel in Mousehole for a culinary treat. With sandy beaches at nearby Sennen Cove, Gwynver or Porthcurno this super holiday home will suit those looking to enjoy the Cornish coast and countryside.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival

The owner was super generous with the welcome pack and we were certainly wowed by it. Abundance of logs for the log burner and kindling again very generous. We will almost certainly return and will recommend to all our family and friends.

The owner has really thought of everything to make the house a very comfortable home from home. We are already planning our return.

Accommodation was to a high specification and had everything we needed - and more! The garden was a great size and most importantly was secure for our dog. The welcome food pack was a very pleasant surprise. St. Just is a lovely little place with a surprisingly busy feel about it. We were spoilt for choice when we wanted to eat out. We had read previous comments about the adjacent property causing an irritation but we barely noticed our neighbours. Even having experienced some very wet and windy weather during our stay, we really didn’t want to leave at the end of our week.
