About this property

This wonderful, mid-terrace stone cottage is situated in a tranquil location at the heart of Pendeen, on the beautiful Penwith Peninsula. Perfectly situated for exploring this fabulous corner of Cornwall, with a selection of good pubs on the doorstep, this charming cottage is an excellent choice for friends and families. Tucked away from the road running through the village, the cottage is fronted by a lovely walled garden with a tidy lawn and secure storage for bikes and beach gear. The living space is open plan, with a beautiful, original stone wall dividing the sitting and dining areas from a long, hand-crafted kitchen, with a double range and Belfast sink overlooking the garden. The sitting room is warm and cosy, enjoying a woodburning stove set inside a huge stone inglenook fireplace. A large extendable table allows the whole family to dine together or plan the day’s adventures over breakfast. To the back of the property is a second outdoor area, a compact courtyard with a small table and chairs, as well as a well-stocked wood store so you can be sure to stay toasty in the cooler months. The family bathroom is bright and pristine, situated on the ground floor so you can quickly jump in the shower after a day on the beach. Upstairs beyond the galleried landing are three, delightful bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. The master bedroom has distant sea views and a small en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has twin beds, whilst the third bedroom is a cosy double with a window seat. Pendeen itself has much to offer within walking distance with a handful of great pubs, a convenience store, coffee shop, great fish and chips and a pottery/gallery on the doorstep. Pendeen Lighthouse has stunning seascapes and the beach at Portheras Cove is just 1.8 miles away. Pendeen's rich mining heritage is close by with Geevor Tin Mine less than a mile away and the National Trust's Levant Mine 1.5 miles away. The stunning South West Coast Path is accessible within one mile. The village is an excellent base for exploring the Penwith Peninsula as there are an abundance of attractions within easy reach. Penzance is a 15 minute drive and the vibrant seaside town of St Ives is less than half an hour away. Take in a mesmerising open-air show at The Minack Theatre overlooking Porthcurno, explore the winding, quirky streets of Mousehole or visit Land's End and marvel at their annual summer firework displays. With miles of beautiful beaches, rugged cliff tops walks and wild, untamed countryside at your fingertips, this fabulous cottage is the perfect choice for a Cornish getaway.

Loved the decor and the woodburner! Particularly as the weather wasn’t too good at times. Would definitely recommend the cottage to friends

The house is comfortably and tastefully furnished throughout and is in an ideal location for coastal walks, with several excellent pubs in the vicinity. The weather during our stay was dreadful but we didn't mind, the log burner kept us warm and the whole place was really cosy. We hope to stay again soon.

Very nice stay I would stay again the only negative would be more Christmas decorations to make it feel more festive over a Christmas period, everything else was perfect
