About this property

With a glorious view over the rooftops to the harbour and across St Ives Bay, this first floor apartment is one of three recently converted from an original Presbytery set right in the heart of the picturesque harbour town of St Ives. This double glazed, light and airy apartment offers warm and comfortable year round accommodation and is just a short stroll from the harbour and the splendid sandy beaches that form a golden fringe around the town.

Accessed from the bustling main street, a couple of steps lead up to the communal hallway and an internal railed stairway leads to the private front door on the first floor which opens to a carpeted hallway. Furnished in a contemporary style, the accommodation comprises of a living room with a smartly fitted kitchen area, comfortable lounge seating and a dining suite next to a large window with delightful views extending over the rooftops across St Ives Bay and out to sea.

There are two pleasantly furnished bedrooms in a crisp decor on the landward side; a spacious master bedroom with a 5ft double, and one with a standard double bed and the original ornamental fireplace. To complete the accommodation, there is a modern shower room W.C. with hand basin and heated towel rail accessed from the hallway. The bell of the Sacred Heart and St la church attached only rings on a Sunday morning.

There are a wide selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and art galleries within easy walking distance, as are several sandy beaches, the nearest being either the Harbour or Porthminster Blue Flag beach which also has a watersports centre.

Fishing boats still operate from the lovely harbour as do pleasure boat trips and self hire boats, there is a leisure centre with swimming pool nearby and scenic circular and cliff walks around St Ives incorporating the South West Coastal Path. A local bus service operates to Penzance, Hayle, St Agnes, Perranporth & Newquay and this apartment is also conveniently located for the railway station if wishing to holiday without a car.

Please note: No cot - travel cot/carrycot accepted. Weekly car park ticket currently costs £35.
