About this property

This Cornish stone cottage is situated along a tranquil country lane, yet within walking distance of the world class beach at Carbis Bay and two miles from St Ives. Oak wood floors, wood burning stove and distant sea views. Reverse level accommodation so both the light and airy bedrooms are on the ground floor with the shower room. The first floor is open plan with the sitting area and dining area within the kitchen. Private and enclosed, the south facing patio and pretty lawned garden is an absolute sun-trap for lazy breakfasts, sizzling barbecues or an evening tipple. Discover the charming town of St Ives with its cobbled streets and alleyways lined with pretty cottages and a rich variety of art and craft galleries where you can watch artists at work. Just a short walk from the heart of the town is the train station, where one of the most spectacular coastal journeys with breathtaking views from Carbis Bay to St Ives can be enjoyed. The coastal walk from St Ives to Porthminster Beach is worth a visit any time of year for the azure waters and brilliant sands in the summer to the contrasting vibrant wind-whipped surf during the winter months. There are so many things to do and places to visit - Land's End, St Michael's Mount, The Minack Theatre and the Tate Gallery should also feature on the itinerary for those who want to experience the very best the area has to offer. Golf enthusiasts can try the links course at Lelant which has a magnificent setting, with panoramic views of St. Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse forming the backdrop. This is a comfortable character cottage - perfect for a romantic break for couples or for friends and families to relax, unwind and escape everyday life

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort.

Absolutely spotlessly clean and tidy. So many positives to list but here are a few: comfortable bed, quality bedding and towels, hot shower, cosy living room, well stocked kitchen. My only "negatives" (just added so they can be addressed by owner and takes nothing away feom our enjoyment) - no coffee maker (we had to go and buy one), no info on whether we could yse real fire (I rang Sykes to ask) or where to put ashes - no equipment provided for this, bath towels a bit small. I would highly recommend to anybody who wants a perfect cottage to stay in x

But we had to deal with fleas .2 days cleaning after last in before us.quite a walk to beach.need car to go everywhere no shops within walking distance.the cottage was beautiful pity about last guest. Really think should make it quite clear that dogs must be clear off fleas. Won’t be booking again .
