This end-terrace holiday cottage which benefits from a parking space was once an old pilchard trading house and is only 100 yards from the picturesque harbour of Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series ‘Doc Martin’. Set over four floors, this 18th-century grade II listed house is full of seaside character having been lovingly restored and totally refurbished by its owners. The cottage nestles amongst the narrow streets of Port Isaac which are filled with traditional North Cornish properties, pubs, interesting shops and restaurants. With the beach only a stone’s throw away, this is an ideal spot to take advantage of fabulous fishing spots, rock pooling and stunning cliff top walks along the South West Coastal Path, taking in the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. You are ideally placed to visit the many tourist attractions that this area has to offer including Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, Boscastle and Padstow with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants, including Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant. From here the ferry can be taken across to Rock with its shops, restaurants and bars. In the centre of Padstow, bikes can be hired to cycle the Camel Trail, a disused railway line along the Camel Estuary where an abundance of birdlife can be seen, to Wadebridge and then all the way to Bodmin. The Eden Project is within driving distance as are the many beautiful gardens of the South Coast. There are many stunning sandy beaches within easy reach, ideal for a family day out, dog walking or a day surfing. Shops, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

"A wonderful cottage a short walk from the harbour and the centre of the village. Perfect for a couple and an energetic puppy, the lounge would be snug for more than three adults"

"Ship shapes pictures are very flattering but in reality the house could do with updating very cold and the stone floor makes it musty and damp the 3 flights of steep stairs are not suitable for older people or children ."

"Could be a super place but tired, bashed about, in need of 're decoration and much better cleaners! Even basics were missing. Such a shame ."

"Great cottage with loads of character in a fantastic location right in the heart of this fairytale village. Unfortunately the owners don’t seem to have taken on board previous reviews about cleanliness. The bed sheets and pillowcases were old, stained yellow and looked and smelled dirty. The sofa and chair in the living room weren’t very comfortable either and the sofa blankets and cushion covers looked old too. The bathroom sink also hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bed sheets should be exceptionally clean and should look and smell like they’ve just been washed if you want your guests to feel comfortable. This has been mentioned in previous reviews so I was surprised to find this hadn’t been rectified. This cottage could be spectacular with just a little more effort with regards to cleanliness. The walls need a coat of paint. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. The wood burner was lovely as was the roll top bath. Great shower too."
